Clinical Psychologist
Clinical Psychologist
Karin is a Clinical Psychologist who works with adults and young people who experience a broad range of psychological concerns and life challenges. She has a strong interest in understanding people’s fears, personalities, and life stories and how this interplay influences the person’s unique presentation and therapeutic needs.
Karin approaches her clinical work with a spirit of insightful attunement, honesty and groundedness. She focuses on helping people understand their fears and gradually break through repetitive patterns and cycles that prevent them from living the life they want. Her aim is to help people develop a greater sense of awareness of themselves and their needs, embrace their own inner knowing and strengths, and increase their capacity to make thoughtful and responsible decisions so that they can move forward and make changes that feel truthful and fulfilling.
Karin is recognised as a provider of clinical psychological services under Medicare. Contact your GP or Psychiatrist about getting a referral to Karin under a Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP), which will allow you to claim a Medicare rebate for your sessions. You can also see Karin without a referral as a private patient.
“The subjective side of attunement is the authentic sense of connection, of seeing someone deeply, of taking in the essence of another person in that moment. When others sense our attunement with them, they experience ‘feeling felt’ by us.” Daniel J. Siegel
